Giving Back: Why Grassroots Matters
At MAD TUCKS™, we’re launching with a clear purpose: to build a brand rooted in community and the true spirit of grassroots hockey. From day one, we want to be known not only for our original designs, but for the heart and intention behind everything we do.
Giving back isn’t an add-on for us, it’s part of who we are and who we aspire to become.
Jack Laidlaw/SGP4 Cure Fundraiser
One of our first initiatives is our partnership with the Ottawa Valley Silver Seven, supporting Jack Laidlaw and the SPG4 Cure Foundation.
SPG4 is a rare genetic neurological disorder with no current cure. Funds raised through this collaboration will help support vital research, potential treatment trials, and the specialized care Jack may require throughout his journey. We’re honoured to play a small role in raising awareness and support for Jack and the broader SPG4 community.

Munch 53 Fundraiser
With our founder being an OVT alumni, we are proud to stand with the Ottawa Valley Titans in support of Tristan Munch, a young player demonstrating remarkable resilience in the face of significant challenges.
The Titans embody everything we respect about grassroots hockey, and we’re grateful to join their efforts in supporting one of our own. #TM53
MT Fights Cancer
As part of our Give Back program, we are releasing a lavender ribbon MAD TUCKS™ hat, a colour widely recognized as a symbol of unity and support for all cancers.
Lavender represents strength, awareness, and hope for anyone affected by cancer, whether they are fighting, recovering, supporting a loved one, or honouring someone they’ve lost.
All proceeds from this campaign will be donated directly to cancer research, helping to fund innovation, treatment development, and support programs for individuals and families across Canada.
Our goal is simple: to stand with those facing the toughest battles and contribute to a future with better outcomes, better treatments, and more hope.
At the end of the day, MAD TUCKS™ isn’t just about hats. It’s about heart and giving back to the game that shaped us and to the communities that continue to inspire us.
